Welcome to Pleasant Grove / Lindon

Home of Follow the Flag and family fun!

Pleasant Grove

Originally named Battle Creek after a skirmish between a Ute band and pioneers (go check out the commemorative plaque at Battle Creek Park in downtown Pleasant Grove), the original pioneers decided they wanted a less conflict-laden name and chose on Pleasant Grove. A tree-laden town, Pleasant Grove has its roots in agriculture, specifically orchards and strawberry fields. Though the orchards and farms are mostly gone the town still celebrates Strawberry Days each June. Pleasant Grove is also home to Doterra, an essential oils company, its largest employer. And coming soon, the new Hale Center Theater.

Things to Do:

Patriotic? Then you won’t want to miss the annual Follow the Flag events which center on raising and flying the largest American Flags ever over the 4th of July week.

Come enjoy a year-round adventure in a fantasy Adventure Renaissance Faire setting at Evermore Park. Experience interactive activities, quests, and outstanding shows from Aerial silks, Fire Dancing, Magic shows and so much more for the whole family.

If you enjoy a more “need for speed” activity, cross the street to The Grid, an indoor go cart racing venue and arcade where you can race your friends and family on a three level half mile track complete with banked turns and checkered flag.

Feeling the call of nature but don’t want to scale Mount Timpanogos, the 1.2 mile out and back trail to Battle Creek Falls is perfect short hike. Or keep going up and around to Grove Creek trail, an 8.2 mile loop up behind the foothills of Mount Timpanogos. A must do every year is Pleasant Grove’s summer fest, Strawberry Days, the longest running summer fest in Utah, complete with a carnival, the Strawberry Days Rodeo, and loads of strawberries and cream desserts.

Lindon

Nestled between Orem and Pleasant Grove is Lindon and beneath the majestic Mount Timpanogos, Lindon is a suburban paradise, names in the top 100 best small towns by Money Magazine in 2013. Lindon is not all suburbs, with a thriving business and industrial zone along State Street and Geneva Road and Utah County Blvd.

Things to Do:

During the summer, the Lindon Aquatics Center is a great place to cool off.

You won’t want to miss the week-long Summer fest—Lindon Days with fun activities like the cardboard boat regatta, concerts, and more.  Lindon city’s Parks and Recreation department hosts events all year long.
